Job Title: Creative Florist

Location: 35b Main Street, Moira, BT67 0LQ

Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time considered

Position Overview:

I am seeking a talented and passionate Creative Florist with a minimum of 2 years experience in floral design to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative flair, exceptional design skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role involves crafting beautiful floral arrangements, managing stock, and contributing to the overall aesthetic of the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

- Floral Design: Create stunning bouquets, seasonal wreaths, and vase/urn arrangements that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Stock Management: Order and manage floral stock, ensuring availability of fresh flowers and supplies while minimising waste.
- Visual Merchandising: Design and implement visually appealing displays that enhance the customer shopping experience and showcase our floral offerings.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide expert advice on floral arrangements, and handle special requests for events, weddings, and other occasions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members to brainstorm and execute new design concepts and promotional ideas.
- Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including proper care and handling of flowers to maintain their longevity.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on floral design trends, techniques, and seasonal flowers to continually enhance skills and offerings.

Experience and Qualities:

- Minimum 2 years experience in floral design or a related field.
- Strong creative and artistic skills, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Knowledge of floral care and handling, including an understanding of seasonal flowers and foliage.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Desirable:

- Level 2 City & Guilds Technical Certificate
- Level 3 City & Guilds Diploma in Floristry

Job Type: Part-Time 

Position Overview:

As a Retail Assistant, you will be the face of my florist store, responsible for providing outstanding customer service, assisting with floral arrangements, and maintaining a vibrant and organised shop environment. If you have a passion for flowers and enjoy interacting with people, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist in the preparation and arrangement of flowers and plants, ensuring they are displayed beautifully.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and fun working environment.

Experience and Qualities:

- Previous retail experience, preferably in a floral or customer-facing environment.
- A passion for flowers and an eye for design is a plus!
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
